First and foremost, let me introduce myself. Myo Ko Ko is the name of mine. I am now in my twenty-two in 2012, May 5. I am now writing this to share my view on doing the work in foreign country. Many people came to foreign country in various reasons, especially just to earn the money than for their further studies. So also, I came to Malaysia to earn the money. It is out of the question that if we do the work in our country, we will have to try to make both-end-meet ourselves even in a month than to support to our parents back. So, that may be one of our reasons of deciding to go abroad.
As soon as I had finished my degree, I decided to go abroad. In another country, we have to do as general workers even though we are degree holders in our country. That is the worse situation we have to encounter in another country. They will not recognize all of us whatever we are and in which role we are in our country. I might be asked if you are a graduate by the readers. I mean even if we are not real graduates, we have a degree in our hands. However, the one thing I consider is why our country is being out of date. Why are we so different with the people from another country when we enter the work although we spent the same time and too much money to get a degree?
Sometimes, I am so proud of the nationality of theirs. They came to the work comfortably. There is no heaviness at all. They can get every facility from the electricity that is running 24 hours. There is human right in their country. The one fact I noticed is they care and help their nationality to each other. But for all foreign workers, the only thing they know is just the work .They won’t care everything concerned with us such as our health and our social affairs. We have to do humbly under them. Whenever we want to go somewhere, we have no chance to handle original passports of ours. We have to go outside handling the copy ones.
Moreover, Malaysia is one of the new developing countries and is now an industrialized country and branching into more fields of specialized high technology manufacturing and also branching more to the information age. And, it exports petroleum and petroleum products as well as palm oil, natural gas, tin, timber, copper, iron ore, and bauxite. They have good human resources, they train and retrain their workers using up to date information. These various resources together effect the options for development available to Malaysia. (Just to compare with our country)
According to the age of the work, there are so many people that have already got a little chance in most of the company here. In front of them, if we will tell the bad news about the employer, they won’t like doing that. May I advise all people that have intention to go abroad not to tell anything about the employer in front of such men. They will be always standing from the side of the employer ignoring the welfare of the same nationality because of being afraid to lose a little chance from their father.
As a matter of fact, I am not telling all from the pessimistic side. Everything has exception, I suppose. I mean only for the egoists.
Sometimes, the police check us unfortunately and then they want to ask us for the money though we are not illegal workers. Sometimes, I am so disappointed to my country. All the readers may think me that I want to be enjoying all the things that are ready. Don’t misunderstand me by telling you all like this. The one thing we, the new generations long for is a chance to do that the authority will give us.
In conclusion, all the things I have mentioned above are just the one of my experience. As you all know, the fate that will fall upon each person may not be the same .The one fact I want to suggest all of the person that are so enthusiastic to go abroad is to go to the place where can get much money in less time. To add, the one that have the dignity. I wish all of you to fulfill what you all need in a short time. If we have a strong desire to do something, it do will come true one day, I think. Nevertheless, let’s soar to our ambition with a constant striving.
